Condition Report: case in original finish, has a tight crack in the right side front piece. There is a shrinkage crack in the wood piece that supports the dial. The original painted dial has a small flake just above the winding arbor. Original hands, gilt pendulum rod and bob and beat scale. Original flocked paper inner case backing. Weight pulley may be replaced. Lower finials may have had minor repairs. Overall, a nice example of this rare Welch model.

Condition Report: this clock is in very good original condition. The case retains the original faux rosewood finish with minor scuffs and nicks. The original papered dial has some fading and discoloration and the original pendulum bob has some minor tarnish. The reverse painted tablet is original and in good condition The calendar mechanism is the 1877 patent, which was produced from 1874 to 1879. The dial is the 1871 patent.

Condition Report: The strap brass rolling pinion movement was the last use of a Joseph Ives design, The rosewood case has a soft lustre finish. The time and day dial has been repainted. The hands are all original. Part of the case bottom board is missing. The calendar dial is in excellent condition. The interior case label is excellent as is the calendar instructions label. Both door glasses are original.
