Stamped Chauncey Boardman movement. Original hands. 30 hour wagon springs are much rarer than 8-day ones.

Condition Report: this is a rare time only model with mahogany veneered case, old finish, veneer loss on the bottom outer band and a repair on the bottom left side. Original stamped brass dial has some paint loss to the numbers. Original hands. A very unusual original tablet has a small crack in the lower right corner. A dark, but readable label inside. There is also a hard to read overpasted handwritten label that describes the movement as 8 day. A similar example can be found in "From Rags to Riches to Rags; The Story of Chauncey Jerome" by Chris Bailey on page 82. This is a NAWCC Bulletin supplement #15, Spring, 1986.

Condition Report: The mahogany case has been refinished. The strap plate movement is correct. The case has a nice interior label. The painted dial has had some of the numerals strengthened, but is handsome with an eagle in the center. The hands proper Thomas style finials may be newer. The tablet is new (by Tom Moberg) and the top door glass is replaced. Overall, a nice example of a scarce model.

The weight pulleys are replacements. A nice clean label inside and original period wallpaper dust liner.
