Model 10 Herschede small floor clock with dual chimes

Herschede Hall Clock Co., Cincinnati, Ohio, "Model 10" floor standing clock, 8 day, time and strike with Westminster and Canterbury chime, spring driven brass movement in a mahogany case with silvered dial, c1930.
Estimate: $300.00 - $500.00

Condition Report: The case is in good condition. The finish has some light spots on the right side and some small scratches on the front door. The application of some pigmented polish would go a long way to restoring the color. The signed movement has cut pinions and heavy plates. The silvered dial is in good shape. The original blackened steel hands have lost a bit of their finish. The brass pendulum bob was ground down on both sides to provide clearance to swing within the case. This suggests that the time train mainspring may be a replacement that is too strong. The movement plays Westminster and the less common Canturbury chime on six chime rods. the chime selector is on the front dial and turned 90 degrees with a small watch key.
