Condition Report: the oak case has been refinished' there is a small chip in cornice molding, top right. Minor flaking to the gilt advertising glass. The movement is powered by two extra large cprings, contained in barrels, and with stepped down gearing to assist in winding. The original silvered/alumized dial is excellent and the full original I.D. along the bottom margin = "Manufactured by Differential Power Clock Co., Chicago, U.S.A." Large winding crank is included.

Condition Report: overall excellent original condition. In 37 years of selling, we have had only 1 other of this model. The most recent sale I find is lot 493 at Skinners / 2013, selling for $1140, and an internet dealer currently has one for sale for $1500. This clock has been well cared for during the last century and is truly impressive Except for a little wear on high spots, nearly all of the original gilding remains and with fine porcelain dial, good hands, high quality pendulum, and open Brocot escapement with garnet pallets.

Condition Report: this is a very uncommon clock, and the first one we are selling in 37 years. Ansonia first merchandised this model in 1883, but it did not sell well, and the patterns were revised to this configuration. (see this exact model in Ly's Ansonia book, page 186, from the Wyer collection): This clock is in excellent original condition, with original barrel pendulum, beat scale, dial, cherubs, mirrors and finish. Minor rippling in the black paper backing inside case. Rear original about 2/3 remaining. Sure to please any Ansonia collector.

Otherwise this clock is in excellent original condition, with nicely patinated original finish, complete and sharp original dial (with some darkening), proper pendulum and great original label on reverse of case. Condition Report: the metal facial figure of Diana has been painted dark brown, should be gold, and the finish has been rubbed / cleaned wtih steel wool and then waxed; othewise this clock appears in good original condition. Retains original paper dial that has gone dark; Ansonia trademark shows clearly. Large cast beat scale intact in bottom of case. Brass pendulum bob is clean with NO dents. Seems to run OK.
